Honed over years, but recorded in Nashville, TN over 3 days in early 2024 with Engineer & Mixer, Micah Tawlks and Producer, Ian Leach, The Argument is an invitation to pause, to reflect and search inward, to feel deeply a sense of patience with yourself.
Gortmaker, a classically trained guitarist and multi-instrumentalist has for years supported indie artists in Nashville, writing, producing, and performing on stage and in the studio. He eventually embarked on a solo career, evolving from album to album, working to discern his own unique artistic voice. With The Argument, he has hit his stride, drawing from a vast array of musical disciplines only to land back where it all started: alone with his primary instrument, the guitar.
